Dr. Paul Baglin, owner of tensARC Ltd., conceived the facegaiter design. For over 20 years, Paul’s focus has been continual improvement of fabric architecture and related materials science. Samples of tensARC’s successes include InShade and ShadePlus, along with design and engineering services at the 2008 and 2012 Olympics and for public and private organisations, such as the British Library.
From the start of the 2020 pandemic, Paul sought a “source control” approach to face covering to help bring down the transmission rate. Arriving at an effective solution earlier on, he and his team worked on improvements, with the result being the current facegaiter.
